Fun Times At The Lake

Some lake time, finally!! We were only able to make it to the lake once this summer. Booo!! We normally go several times so we were so excited to finally go! And it was sooo fun!!! We went to the same pumpkin patch we like to go to every year. It was awesome! They added even more neat activities for the kiddos. Abigail could have stayed there for days! Thankfully we had nice weather too!

After the pumpkin patch, we all went out to lunch (Mexican per hubby's request!!). It was delicious! Loving the chips and honey this pregnancy! Colin is always happy to cater to that craving!! Then we spent the spent the rest of the day relaxing, watching football and spending time outside by the fire pit. I think that was everyone's favorite part!!

It was such a great weekend!! We loved every second. Well...other than the sleeping part:-) Yep...still struggling:-) Thank you so much for having us, Nana and G-dad!!

Donuts and Playgrounds, Oh My!!

We had soo much fun on Columbus Day! Colin took the day off, so that's a great start right there! Abigail requested that we go to a really fun playground in Alexandria (which, by the way, we went to several months ago and she still talks about!) so we decided to bring a picnic too and make a day of it. Colin suggested we go get some donuts to have for dessert. I know, totally seems like it would have been my idea!! There is this really neat donut shop that opened up in Alexandria over a year ago that we (ok I!!) have been wanting to try. It was well worth the wait!!

Side note....the night before, we were all looking on my phone at what type of donuts they have there... we asked Abigail which donut she wanted. (It was the type of webpage that you swipe to get the next picture.) Abigail kept swiping until she came across her favorite...a chocolate frosted donut. I kept swiping to other ones and asking "Are you sure you don't want this one???" and she would immediately swipe backwards until she found her chocolate frosted donut. I mean...this girl was adamant about what type of donut she wanted!! Just like her mama!! Colin and I crossed our fingers they would have it, which they did! Thankfully!!

So after we picked up our yummy donuts, it was off to the playground. Abigail loves their sliding wall and seesaw so we spent lots of time there. Daddy got quite the workout!!

Love these two!!
Abigail was watching a girl as she surfed in the middle. She was mesmerized!!

Can you tell how much she loves the seesaw?!?
Loving her new outfit!! Thanks, Meme!!
Sweet girl!!

Cool dude wearing Mommy's shades!
It's picnic time!! Then donuts by the water! Sooo fun!!
It was just a perfect day!! Gorgeous weather, wonderful time with my family, donuts!!! haha:-) Can't wait for the weekend!!

Celebrating Colin!

Thankfully, Colin was able to take off on his birthday so we could celebrate and spend the day together as a family. It was simply perfect! We started off the day with one of Colin's favorite breakfasts, biscuits and gravy, and then we headed out to the pumpkin patch. Yay!!! We have an awesome one right down the street. It has tons and tons of fun activities for kids of all ages. We all had a blast!

I warned Colin that he was about to get a fabulous workout here. I took Abigail to this pumpkin patch last year with a friend and we must have rode this slide a hundred times. Up the stairs, slide, walk up the hill, repeat...over and over again! Thankfully I was able to pass this fun activity on to my hubby!!

After we left the pumpkin patch, we went to Los Toltecos to get some yummy Mexican food. The rest of the day we spent at the playground and finished the day off with some pot roast (Colin's favorite) and cake (my favorite!). I'd say Colin ate well on his birthday:-)
Such a fun day!! We hope you had the best birthday, lovey!!! We loved spending the day celebrating you and showing you how much we love you!!
