Christmas Eve!!!

Every Christmas Eve, my Dad's side of the family gets together to celebrate Christmas. It's a tradition my granddad started forever ago and definitely one of my favorites. It's such a nice time to get together and catch up on everything that is going on in all of our lives. This was Abigail's first Cassada Christmas Eve get together. So exciting!!!

We alternate who hosts it...this year it was at my Aunt Linda's and Uncle Barry's house in Winchester. They have a gorgeous home. Just so warm and welcome and beautifully decorated. They went ALL out this year! Yummy food, wonderful company....just SO fun!

Awwww....our oldest niece/Abigail's cousin, Rebekah....my heart just melts looking at this girl. She is just the sweetest person. She is SO grown up now. Makes me sad (mainly because I feel old!:-)), but SO proud of who she has become:-)

All of the adults play Nasty Santa. This years theme was "Gift Baskets." So fun!

As if Christmas Eve wasn't special enough....Abigail said her first word...."Mama"!!!!!! Awwwww.....and she said it twice! At first we weren't sure if she was actually saying it....she babbles "mamamamama" a lot!...but then Colin and I were trying to put her down for a nap and she reached out for me and said "Mama!" and then later she reached for me again and said it. Just the sweetest sound ever! Now if we could just get her to say "Daddy" whenever she wakes up in the middle of the night....:-)

Christmas Eve was a blast! Thank you so much, Aunt Linda and Uncle Barry for having all of us! It was so nice to see everyone! We can't wait to see everyone again soon!
