Big Change!!

With our precious little boy coming soon, we knew we needed to move Abigail to a big girl bed. We were not really looking forward to it. It took us almost a year and a half to get Abigail to sleep through the night. I'm sure many of you remember....she was NOT  sleeper! Now, she sleeps through the night....waits for us to get her out of her bed....takes a great nap....we did NOT want to mess that up!! But...I guess we have to do make the change at some point!

We just got back from the beach, so we figured now would be a good time to make the transition. Colin and I talked to Abigail about it for WEEKS!! She seemed excited, but we all know how that can go....totally fine about it until you actually do it!!

BUT...Abigail is doing great!!! Way better than we ever expected. We're 5 days in and she's still sleeping great! Fingers crossed it stays this way!! We all know how quickly things can change!! Daddy and I are so very proud of you, sweet girl!!!

Today is our most wonderful Nanny's birthday! We are so lucky to have this incredible lady in our lives. She is truly special. Happy Birthday, Nanny!! We love you so so so much!!!

Wrightsville Beach

We just got back from our second, annual grandparent beach trip. We have been looking forward to this trip FOREVER! To say that we LOVE LOVE LOVE this trip is an understatement. It is simply wonderful. We enjoy this trip for many reasons. It is soooo much fun, completely relaxing and most importantly, we love spending time together as one large family. We cherish any, and all, time that we all get to be together. Our parents are just incredible. They are, by far, (in our non-biased opinion:)) the BEST parents and grandparents ever! We are so blessed to have them as such a big part of our lives. We will forever remember and hold dear all of the memories that we create on these special vacations each year.

Harris family:-) The second day we headed into downtown Wilmington. Apparently most shops close on Monday so it was a quick trip. Thankfully the fudge shop was open!! I have been craving fudge big time this pregnancy!!

We went to Blue Water for lunch. It was right on the water. Gorgeous!

G-dad kindly shared his fudge pie with everyone. As you can see, Abigail especially enjoyed it!

For dinner we went to Boca Bay. It was DELICIOUS!! One of our favorites!

While Colin and I were out on our date, the rest of the gang ordered pizza and went out for ice cream. Sounds like a fun night to me!

On Thursday, it was overcast so we headed to the Boardwalk at Carolina Beach. Apparently they pretty much shut down after Labor Day so it was a ghost town:-(
