Christmas In Richmond!!

We are loving all of this family time around the holidays!! We continued our Christmas celebration and headed down to Richmond for the long weekend. We had a blast! Abigail was so excited! She knew exactly where we were going. If you ask her where Meme and Granddad live, she will say "Richmond" in this adorable, little voice. So cute!!

When we got to Richmond on Friday, Abigail immediately made herself at home and started playing with everyone and everything! We had gorgeous weather both days so we were able to get outside a bunch too. 60's in late December....we'll take it!!
Meme showing Abigail her Nutcrackers
"Uh oh....Granddad's got me!!"
"Peep eye, Granddad!!"
Awwww...snuggles for Granddad!!
Abigail was watching a video of herself on Meme's phone...she LOVES watching herself! So funny!
Playing the "game" with herself!
"Cheese!!"
What an adorable couple!!!
                                     "Peep eye!!"                                           Sooo sweet!!
After Abigail got up from her nap, Uncle Jay came over (yay!!) and we opened presents. Another one of Abigail's favorites!!

Meme's turn for help!
Such an awesome book! Thanks, Uncle Jay!! Abigail loves her new clothes! Thanks Meme & Granddad!

  Awwww...getting some lovin' from Granddad:-)
Kisses for Meme and Uncle Jay:-)
Abigail LOVED Uncle Jay's computer. They sat like that for about 45 minutes watching children's videos on youtube!!! They are soo cute together!!

The next morning, Meme fixed us some delicious chocolate chip waffles with her little helper. Nothing better than chocolate for breakfast!!

Some for the batter....some for me!!! Ahhhh...the benefits of being the chef!!
After breakfast, we headed out to the playground to enjoy the beautiful weather!
 "Weeeeee!!!"
Everyone loved the swings! Even Granddad got in on the action!! Go Granddad!!
Love that smile!!
Too cute!
Abigail LOVED cooking with her Meme this weekend!! Meme is an EXCELLENT cook! We can see this weekend as being the first of MANY cooking sessions with Abigail and her wonderful Meme:-)
"Mmmmmm chocolate pudding!!!"
So fun!!!
The rest of the evening we just hung out at home, playing, relaxing, watching football and eating pizza. It was GLORIOUS!! Sooo much fun!!
Meme and Granddad have this little bench that Abigail loves! It is just her size!
Tickle monster!!
We ended our fabulous weekend with a visit from Uncle Kyle and Auntie Anna, who just got back from being away for the weekend. How sweet of them to get up early and come see us before they left!! And they even brought their sweet doggie, Maya! Abigail was most excited!!
Checking herself out on the phone, of course!! Silly girl!!
Awwww....huggies for Uncle Kyle and Maya!
Some lovin for her Auntie Anna:-)
Hanging with the girls:-)
We had such a great weekend! We hated for it to end:( Thank you so much for having us, Meme and Granddad!! We can't wait to see all of you again soon!! xoxo

Merry Christmas!!!

Have we mentioned how much we LOVE Christmas?!? So sad that it is over:( BUT...we had a WONDERFUL Christmas filled with lots of family time and loving memories. Abigail was such a joy to watch this year. She REALLY got into it! She was SOOO excited!! Abigail is at such a fun age. She definitely understands most of what is going on. She was SO excited!
"Merry Christmas!!!"
Colin, Abigail and I had our special family time in the morning where we snuggled (our favorite!) and then we went down stairs to open our presents! Yay! Abigail loved opening the presents, whether they were for her or not. Her favorite gifts involved candy. Like mother, like daughter! Daddy brought us some delicious chocolates from Paris. Abigail could have easily eaten the whole box! Mind you, it was only 8:30 in the morning! Thankfully, Mommy salvaged her truffles by giving Abigail her stocking which contained peanut butter M&Ms....one of her favorites! Breakfast of champions!!!

Auntie Susan gave Abigail a HUGE bag of the individual packs of M&Ms. Boy does she know our daughter! You should have seen Abigail's face when she opened them! She was in love!!!:-)
Abigail loved every gift we gave her. She wanted to "open it" and play with everything, which is such a fun feeling that your child likes what you picked for them. From us, Abigail received a Play Doh kit, a basketball hoop and a bike. Her first bike!!! Eeekkkk....our "baby" is growing up too fast!!!
Luckily we found a helmet that fits our big brained child:-)

We are planning on show this picture to the Tennessee recruiters one day:-) Abigail's first dunk!
Such a big girl!!!

Later in the morning, Nana, G-dad, Auntie Anna, Uncle Kyle and Justin (Auntie Anna's brother) came over to wish us a Merry Christmas. Yay!!! We were all SO excited!!  How fun to celebrate with family!! Abigail loved having so many fun people to play with and we, of course, loved being able to spend time with everyone.:-)

Opening presents with Nana:-)

"Thank you, Auntie Anna and Uncle Kyle!!!"
This photo shoot is HILARIOUS!! Auntie Anna asked Abigail if she wanted to take a picture with her so she turned the camera view on her phone to be facing them. Abigail just LOVED it! Every time we take a picture or video of her, she IMMEDIATELY wants to see it. She'll sit there and laugh at herself hysterically! So seeing herself on camera in real time...she thought it was the best thing ever!
How cute are they?!?
Awwwww!!!!
So those were the views from where we were sitting. Just wait and see the pictures from Auntie Anna's camera!! They are just the cutest!!!!
 These two are too much:-)

Giving Uncle Kyle some snuggles:)
Having a blast with G-dad and Nana!
Abigail put on her helmet and asked to go for a ride. Safety first:-)

We had such a wonderful Christmas! To watch the magic and spirit of Christmas through your child’s eyes is just truly incredible. Colin and I feel so blessed in so many ways. We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!
