Hand Obsession

Colby loves his hands, just like our Abigail did!! So cute to see him suck on his thumb<3 I know, I know....we won't be saying that when he's older, but for now it's so stinkin cute!!

Jumperoo!!

Colby loves to jump! If you hold him while his feet are on the ground, he is constantly jumping and bouncing like crazy!! We brought out the jumperoo a few days ago just to see what he thought. He's still a little young for it, but we wanted to give it a try. Colby loved it!! His favorite was the sun. <3

Quite The Artist!

Abigail loves to draw! Markers, crowns, chalk...you name it! She's good!! Says her unbiased and very proud mama:-) She definitely did not get her artistic talent from me!!

Family Visit!

We had some very special visitors on Father's Day: Meme, Grandad, Auntie Anna and Uncle Kyle!! We love it when they come to see us!! We had a such a wonderful day!! We love spending time with family!

Can I Hold HIm?!?

Abigail LOVES to hold her baby brother. She is seriously the sweetest sister ever and she ADORES her Colby. The feeling is very mutual. It melts our heart to see the two of them together<3 It doesn't look like it will be too much longer until Colby is picking Abigail up!!
**Stats update: weight: 15lbs 5.5oz (47th percentile), height: 24.5" (20-26th percentile), and finally the good ol noggin coming in at 17.25" (96th percentile). Big brained like his sister:-) 

Young Entrepreneur

Abigail always talks about how she is going to  share everything with Colby, but recently Abigail started saying that when she outgrows _____(insert item), she is going to sell it to Colby!! Too funny. Spoken like a true older sibling!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Colin and I have the BEST dad's in the whole world!! They are so wonderful and have been such a big part of our lives and now our kid's lives. And of course Colin and I are so grateful for them introducing us!! We love you both so so much!!

 And this man....oh how we love him!! Colin is the most incredible father and husband. I could watch him with our kiddos for hours. They have such a special bond and it is just the cutest! I am so incredibly blessed to get to raise our beautiful babies with this special man. Colin, thank you so much for all that you do for our family! We love you so so much, lovey!!

Happy 4 Months, Sweet Baby Boy!!

How is Colby already 4 months?!? Where does the time go?? Colby is such a sweet pea and we are trying to soak up this time as much as possible!!

At 4 months Colby weighs 15lbs 5.5 oz (47th percentile) and is 24.5" inches tall (20-26th percentile) and his noggin is 17.25" (96th percentile haha). Colby is in size 3 month clothes and size 2 diapers. At 4 months, Abigail was 11lbs 13 oz and was in the less than 5th percentile for height and weight. Abigail was a little peanut!! We had to rent a scale to monitor her weight because she was so small!! Colby on the other hand....yowzers!! Colby is a BIG boy!! He is definitely eatin good in the neighborhood!! Recently when we've been out, everyone guesses his age to be 6 months or older!! And then when we tell them he's only 3/4 months, they always say "Wow!! He's a BIG boy!!" Yes, yes he is!!!

Colby is a busy boy. He loves to be movin and groovin. Keep it movin people!! One of Colby's favorite things to do is to be outside. He loves going on walks, going to the playground, Farmer's Market....you name it....a man about town:-) We love to be outside and on the go so it works well!

Colby is quite the chatterbox. It is SOOO cute when he "talks!!" My favorite is after a feeding, Colby will lay in my arms and just chat away. I'm melting just thinking about it!! <3

Colby loves to grab anything and everything, especially hair!! Ouch!! It so sweet to watch him concentrate so hard on what he is trying to grasp. Abigail is SO wonderful with her baby brother! She loves to get him toys and play music for him to keep him entertained! The two of them together....just precious!!

It seems that Colby may be cutting a tooth sometime soon. Not gonna lie...I'm a little nervous with breastfeeding!! He is constantly putting his hands in his mouth and is drooling like crazy!! We can see the little white tooth underneath his gum. It seems to be really bothering him:(  Distraction is really the only thing that helps because he's not a fan of the cold rings or washcloths!

Colby is still not the best sleeper. He is sleeping in his crib now and we moved him from a swaddle to a Zipadee Zip. Not so sure the Zipadee Zip helps him sleep but he loves it! Typically he smiles as soon as we put him in it. He looks so stinkin cute in it too!! Colby wakes up about 5-20 times a night. Yes...I know...ugh....but we can telling ourselves that it's a phase and one day Colby will sleep through the night. He will sleep through the night one day, right?!?

Colby has the cutest smile and laugh!! It makes our day!! And his rolls....oh my goodness!! Just want to eat him up!!! We cannot look at his sweet face without smiling and smothering him in kisses!! We just love our Colby Colbs to pieces!! Happy 4 months, sweet baby boy!!! xoxo

Big Girl!!

Abigail can swing all by herself!! Yay!! Abigail loves to swing and we swing all the time!  One day we were pushing her and the next she was swinging all by herself just like that!! Such a big girl!

Sibling Love

It is so sweet how much these two love each other! Abigail loves her baby brother so much and Colby just adores her. He always smiles whenever he sees her. So precious!!

Confidence

Abigail and I were in the car the other day and she casually named the artist of the song on the radio. I had no idea, but then I saw the artist scroll across the screen. Abigail was right!! How did she know that?!? I told Abigail that she was very bright to which she responded "I am very smart. I know everything." So then I started laughing and she said "I crack Mommy and Daddy up!" Yes you do, baby girl!! You most certainly do! This girl does not lack self confidence. We pray that never changes!!

Captain Handsy

Colby is great at reaching for and grasping various objects. Recently he has been grabbing the little towel off of his privates when we are changing him. Thanks buddy!! Super helpful!  ;-)

Lake Time!!

Warm weather means time for the lake!! Wahoo!! We LOVE spending time at the lake! It was Colby's first road trip and trip to the lake. He did great! (We timed it so that it was during his nap time in hopes that he would sleep!! He did!! Phew!!) We had a blast!! The weather called for rain for most of the weekend, but it was gorgeous!! The rain held out until about 5:00 each day so we were able to get in plenty of lake time.
