Happy 22 Months, Little Love!!!

Only two months away from the terrific twos!!! Crazy!!! They are terrific, aren't they??? Please just say yes:-) Our once little girl is growing up so fast. Doesn't she look so much older???
So angelic:-)
At 22 months, Abigail weighs about 24.5lbs. She had strep throat a little over a week ago and that's what she weighed at the doctor's office. Abigail wears mainly 18 month clothes now, size 4 diaper and size 4.5 shoe. Her hair is growing like crazy!!! She now allows us (most of the time) to put a bow in it when we are going out, but as soon as we come back home....she rips that bow right out:( As much as I want her to wear a bow for cosmetic purposes, she actually needs something to keep that hair out of her eyes. She does look cute as a button with that little bow in, doesn't she?!?

The biggest event this month was our trip to Charleston. We all just had the best time. Abigail is quite the little water baby. She loves to look at the pictures of the trip and reminisce about the things we did while we were there. She has the best memory of any child I have ever met. While we were in Charleston, there were these glass fish bowls that Abigail adored. We told her that she was allowed to look, but not allowed to touch. So EVERY morning since we have been home, Abigail does her little fishy sign and then waves her finger saying "No no no" (which is what we did). I guess that's why she has a big ol noggin...gotta have a big brain to store all of this stuff!!!

Abigail is talking more and more every day. It is so sweet to listen to that adorable, little voice of hers. Some of the things she says can be understood by anyone and others.....only a daddy or mommy would know:-) Abigail tries to repeat a lot of the words you say. The cutest one recently was "tickle," in which she said it and proceeded to tickle herself. So funny!

Abigail is obsessed with fish and helicopters. She wants to see them ALL.THE.TIME. and she asks you to draw them constantly. We have a cute little chalk aquarium in our driveway. Good thing we get to start all over when it rains:-)

Abigail is still not a huge eater. Believe it or not, she has actually slowed down on her cheese consumption. Can you believe it??? She is finally at that stage when she understands that if she does not eat some of the foods we have specifically asked her to, then she does not get anything after dinner...aka dessert. We do not eat dessert every night,  but our little sweet tooth certainly does not want to miss out on any treats given!!!
Abigail has been sleeping great! We literally walk her upstairs, sing Jesus Loves Me about two times and then put her in her crib awake, give her kisses and walk away. It has only taken about a year and a half, by hey, we are here!!! Yay!!!

Happy 22 Months, sweet baby girl! You are such a cutie pie. Your Mommy and Daddy just love you to pieces! xoxo

Lovin Abigail's New Swing Set

A couple of weeks ago, one of our incredible neighbors gave us their swing set. Abigail is loving it! Abigail LOVES to go on the slide and, of course, swing. A swing on the deck AND a swing in the back yard....can't think of anything better than that!!!

In Good Hands

It's been a rough week for all of us. I had kidney surgery last Tuesday that didn't go quite as smoothly as we had planned. And then two days later, Abigail came down with strep throat. Ugh. But thanks to 3 terrific nurses and some delicious food, I think we are all going to be just fine:-)
Only pantsless nurse I trust:-)
This is what my incredible hubby brought home for me on Friday. Do you see why I love this man??? And yes...bites were taken before we could even snap a picture of them!
Just gorgeous!

Big thank you to my wonderful hubby and fabulous mom for everything you both have done this week!!! We couldn't have survived without you both!!! Abigail and I greatly appreciate it! We love you!!!

Sullivan's Island/Charleston 2014

This trip was one of our most favorite vacations ever!!! Everything about it was just incredible....the BEST company (ie all of the grandparents!), tons of family time, beautiful weather, a gorgeous house.....simply perfect! It was SOOO relaxing!!! The house we stayed in was on Sullivan's Island, which is about 20 minutes outside of Charleston. Oh my goodness this house was incredible!!! Far exceeded our expectations! We spent our days either relaxing on the beach (or house was just a short walk to the ocean) or exploring beautiful, downtown Charleston.
Our crew:-)
Our beautiful home! It was even prettier in person!
Abigail LOVED the water! She was fearless. She walked right into the water as soon as we got there!

The most wonderful grandmothers in the entire world!!!
Now for the most wonderful grandfathers in the whole world!                    Our cutie pie:-)
This girl LOVED the water! She wanted to go as far in as possible!!!
Love both of these pictures!!! Just so sweet:-)
Can you tell she's having a good time?!? Abigail loved building sandcastles!
                                                                Fun on the beach:-)
                                                                  Abigail being silly!
Abigail loved sitting on the hammock with her wonderful daddy:-)
Getting ready for our first family night out. Charleston is known for their food and they didn't disappoint!!!
Some more of our good looking crew:-)
Abigail was such a good girl at dinner! She was the only child at the restaurant, if that tells you anything about the type of restaurant it was. Luckily we had Nana's phone to keep her entertained:-)
Such a cute picture of Colin and Meme!
Love how Abigail is just following right along as we toured the Battery in downtown Charleston!
Hanging out with Nana and G-dad in Charleston:-)            Me and my wonderful daddy:-)
The infamous pineapple fountain! Love this picture!!! So honored to have joined this family :-)
Just gorgeous!
Getting ready for our first of two date nights. All parents know what a real treat that is! Thank you, Nana, Meme, G-dad and Granddad for taking care of Abadabs!!!
                                                             Our fantastic mommies:-)

Fun in the water
Building with Meme:-)
This girl LOVES her purple bucket!
Don't let this picture fool you. She sat like this for two seconds. This picture is more of a portrayal of how we feel after chasing after Abigail for a day:-)
My incredible hubby. I love this man:-)
"Ooooohhhhh" Love this face!!!  Colin wanted to see what all the fuss with this bucket was about:-)
Giving G-dad some loving before nap time. Abigail had to give everyone a hug and a kiss before she went down for a nap and at night. Awwww.......
Nana's turn:-)                                             Putting her make-up on. Haha
Oh how we miss the beach!!!!
These two men are quite special:-)
So cute:-)
Me and my fantastic mommy:-)
"Cheese!!!"
Big hugs for her Nana!
Awwwww.....
Just look at that smile. This girl makes our heart melt.
And how about that hat?!? We took her to the pool the week before we left...that's when we discovered that her adorable (yet large!) noggin didn't fit into her sun hat any more. Kinda glad because this one is too cute!!!
Never too early to learn how to boogie board!
I'll give you one guess at what they are looking at!!!
Kisses for her Meme and Granddad. Awwww:-)
You know when you are getting towards the end of a vacation and you think "This was fun, but I'm ready to be home." Yeah...this was not one of those vacations. This is one of those vacations where you are so sad and depressed to leave. All day on Friday, Colin and I discussed how we didn't want to leave. We had the BEST time! We owe a HUGE thank you to our parents for watching Abigail so Colin and I could go out just the two of us AND for taking care of her A LOT during the day so that we could take a break and relax. We both read two books. Did you hear that??? TWO books in one week!!! Crazy talk! We had the BEST time. We are so thankful for all of the time we get to spend together. Hopefully Abigail is not too bored with just her ol mom and dad at home:-) We are so blessed that you are such a huge part in our lives, as well as Abigail's life. We love you SOOO much!!!! Can't wait for next year:-)
