Celebrating Mother's Day

We admit that it was difficult to go on with life as usual after having such a sad Saturday. I barely slept the night before just thinking of our dear kitty and it felt weird celebrating anything after what just happened. Just at the right time, I received a text from one of my best friends telling me to "Cherish all the blessings that surround you" so that is exactly what we did. Thanks Heather:)

As always, Colin was so sweet and thoughtful. It started with a delicious breakfast....Colin's specialty.....chocolate chip pancakes. Yum!!! He is so talented:) After breakfast, we went on a walk to the playground. It was gorgeous out! Perfect Mother's Day temperatures! Hot hot hot! Later we took a trip to my favorite frozen yogurt shop, Sweet Frog. Abigail was all decked out in her Sweet Frog gear. Do you think it's a coincidence that her colors are hot pink and lime green and so are Sweet Frog's??? I think not:)

Abigail would grab our hand with both of her hands to make sure we gave her a bite of our delicious ice cream. So funny!

Love how she projects herself from the high chair to go grab a spoonful

Colin and I just hung out and relaxed on our back porch during Abigail's nap.  Ahhhh...it was so wonderful....nice breeze....fantastic company and conversation. Loved it!

The fun continued when Nana and G-dad came over. We all had a blast. It was so nice to be able to spend time together and chat. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. For dinner I made the four of us one of Colin and I's favorites....homemade pizzas. So yummy! While we had a nice time visiting, we missed Meme and Granddad. Meme was in South Boston celebrating Mother's Day with her mom, Nanny, whom is such a special person and a WONDERFUL mom and grandmother:-)

Look at this outfit. The colors are perfect! Too cute!       G-dad and Colin swinging with the baby girl:)

Colin made sure to show the awful cup he was drinking from. Like Colin says, everybody has to have a flaw!
Best Mother's Day gift ever...my wonderful family!

Colin, G-dad and little Miss Abigail:-)
Some fun time on the swing with Nana and G-dad. As you can tell, Abigail is not thrilled that we interrupted her swing time for some pictures. Haha
We hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!
