Easter 2014

Happy Easter!!! Today was such a fun and special day. Abigail was only 5 months old last Easter so we really didn't do the "typical" Easter festivities. This year, Abigail was all about it! We started with breakfast, followed by her Easter basket and an egg hunt. It didn't take long for Abigail to catch on. We filled 18 eggs with either 1 M&M, 1 cheese puff, or 1 mini Teddy Graham. The first one she opened was an M&M (her favorite!) so she immediately went in search of more eggs to open.

Nana and G-dad came over in the afternoon to spend time with us. So fun! It was gorgeous out so we spent all of our time outside playing. LOTS of time was spent on the swing. We also brought out the bubbles, which was a blast!

Four More Days

This week has been a weird week. It basically feels we are in limbo. While we are trying to enjoy and appreciate every minute we have with this little one, our thoughts are consumed with her upcoming surgery. Each day is one day closer to her surgery and, on one hand, we want to get it over with. On the other, we don't want the day to come. We love and trust her doctors, but as parents, we feel scared and helpless which is just the worst feeling. All we can do is pray and ask that you do the same.

Only fitting that we would post pictures of Abigail with her favorite toy, the vacuum. Goodness, we love this girl SO much!!!

Daddy's Home!!!

Abigail and I always get so excited whenever we hear the keys jingle in the door. We know what that means....Daddy is home!!! Yay!!! We both go running. Moments after he has stepped in the door, Abigail has parked herself in her daddy's lap for story time. Love this!

The fun doesn't stop there, ladies and gentleman. Abigail's latest obsession is the vacuum. Yes, the vacuum. She seeks out the vacuum daily, pointing to it, taking your hand, begging for you to use it. It's soothing to her, I guess?!? Tonight was a special night...vacuum night. Oooooo ahhhhhhh!

We know how to party on a week night!!!

Jammin To The iPad

G-dad is awesome and he is letting us borrow his iPad to entertain his beautiful granddaughter while she is in the hospital. Abigail is already in love with the thing! We think she may know how to work it better than we do! Her favorite is a YouTube video called Jam With Jamie on Howcast. It's these two girls singing popular children's songs and playing the guitar. Apparently they are quite entertaining! Recently she has been pointing to the iPad A LOT and requests her little songs. She makes it VERY clear what she wants you to play:-)

Beautiful Weekend

Hello summer weather! Loving it! We had such a fun weekend. Most of it was spent outdoors, which was glorious. Saturday we spent most of the day playing outdoors and mulching (the yard work never seems to end, does it?!?). Sunday we had some special visitors: Granddad, Meme and Auntie Susan...yay! They picked a beautiful day to come visit....80+ degrees and sunny...couldn't get any better. We played, went on the swing (lots!), played with our new bubbles (thank you, Auntie Anna and Uncle Kyle!), hung out on the back porch....we just really enjoyed each others company and the wonderful weather. Meme and Auntie Susan were so sweet and did some gardening for us too with some beautiful monkey grass from Auntie Susan's garden. Are they great, or what?!? Thank you for coming to visit and for all of your help, Meme, Granddad and Auntie Susan! It was so great to see you all!!!
