Stephanie took Abigail and Colby to Fenwick Island on Sunday for a week at the beach with some friends. I was planning to join them on Wednesday morning, so I had the house to myself for 3 days. After watching a little golf and enjoying some coffee, I decided to clean up our home office a little bit (I know, I am too wild). When filing away some papers, I came across a list of questions that Colby answered about me for a Dad's and Donuts day at his preschool. I love little insights like this into what my kiddos are thinking.
Apparently, my breakfasts make quite an impression on Colby! Abigail also did a list in her kindergarten and she mentioned my breakfast too! Speaking of breakfast, we decided to make a little pitstop on the way home from the beach.

When Stephanie, Abigail, and Colby were gone, the house was so quiet. I missed Abigail's questions and Colby asking me to pick him up. I misssed being greeted with a hug from my beautiful wife when I walk through the door. I missed all of the smiles and the laughter that we all share. I love my family more than anything in the world and cherish our time together. I'm so happy to have them home!
