Happy 6th Birthday, Sweet Girl!!!

Our baby is 6!!! What?!? Not even sure where to start when talking about our precious, little girl. So many things to say! Abigail was born 4 weeks early at 10:31am. She came into this world kicking and screaming and lighting up our lives the minute she was born. Abigail continues to do so (minus the kicking and screaming thankfully😉)

Abigail is a girlie girl through and through. She loves to dress up and be fancy. She is super into fashion and makeup (which consists of clear lip gloss much to Abigail's dismay). At Abigail's party on Saturday, she asked that I write on the invitation "Please wear your fanciest outfit." We reminded her that it is at an indoor playground and other children are probably going to want to wear play clothes. The whole thing of "dress accordingly" means nothing to her unless you're asking her to be formal.💗

Abigail is super into arts and crafts. She loves to draw, paint, do fun art projects.....you name it! She's really good at it too! In our humble, nonbiased opinion😉It's so fun to create different season/holiday projects with her. Colby is really into arts and crafts too which makes it fun!

Speaking of Colby, Abigail loves her little brother so much. She is an amazing big sister. She is so proud of Colby. Abigail loves to show her brother off to her friends and teachers. It is so cute💜

Abigail loves music a lot!! She knows what song it is the second it comes on. And she loves to dance!! She loves shaking it to fun music on the radio or dancing in her ballet/tap/jazz class with her friends. Dance has been such a fun experience for her. Abigail is also into gymnastics. We are thinking of putting her in a class soon.

Abigail started Kindergarten this year. It has been such a wonderful experience. She absolutely loves it. She loves her teacher, all of her friends....everything about it. Abigail still says that lunch and recess are her favorite part. Hard to argue with that 😉

Even Kindergarteners get homework and we are learning that Abigail is a bit like her mother. She must get every project done immediately, even if she has a while to complete it. Basically she is the opposite of a procrastinator. 😂

Abigail loves to read and write. Her new favorite thing is to write letters and notes to everyone. We like to pass notes back and forth together. Reminds me so much of what I used to do with my friends.

Abigail loves swimming. She was on our neighborhood swim team this year for the first year. It was such a fun way to meet new neighbors and friends at Abigail's school. It really helped to develop Abigail's love of swimming. She would go swimming every day if she could!

Abigail is still a super silly girl and a total wild child. She loves for her daddy to spin her around and around and chase her all over the place. Abigail wants Daddy to push her as high as he can on the swing. She's already talking about Daddy taking her on the wild rides whenever we go to an amusement park. Wild child💖

We cannot believe you are already 6, baby girl. Every moment of your birth feels like it was just yesterday. We can remember holding you pretty much in the palm of our hand and looking at those 3 month clothes thinking "We're not sure if you are ever going to fit in these!" And now here you are....6 years old, going to kindergarten, talking about clothes and makeup... Abigail, your daddy and I are so unbelievably proud of you. You are one of the sweetest, most thoughtful little girls. I'm not sure our hearts could be any fuller. We love you more than you will ever know. Happy 6th Birthday, sweet baby girl💕

Thanksgiving Lunch With My Girlie Girl

These are Abigail's besties. The one on the right is Kaylee and the boy in the middle is Bennett. His name is Bennett Collins. Unbelievable, right?!?😍

Movie Time!

Colin and I took Abigail and Colby to go see a movie! It was our kiddos first movie and Colin and I's first movie in over 7 years!!! We had so so much fun!! We went to go see The Grinch. Super cute movie!! Oh my goodness....the movies have changed SOO much since Colin and I had last been! The seats, the food, the price😲 Anyways....the kids were sooo good! We figured Abigail would do well but Colby was our wild card. He did great!! A little antsy towards the end, but overall great! We can't wait to go back!

Colby Started Preschool!!

Colin and I decided to put Colby in preschool! We weren't going to start until January, but we talked to the teachers and the director and they thought it might be a good time to go ahead and start. Colby only goes 2 days a week for 3 ours each time. Colby did great his first day! No tears (from Colby😉)which was a huge surprise. Colby's teachers sent us pictures throughout the day, which made things much easier. His teachers said he did great and fit right in! Colby might have been happy at school but to quote my friend...he "punished" us at home. Colby was being very cold and stand offish to Colin and I, which made us so sad!! Thankfully that only lasted two days. Colby still isn't crazy about going to school each week but he seems to be enjoying it!

Student of the Month

Abigail got the principal's award of Student of the Month!! Each teacher nominates one student from their class and Abigail got nominated! We are so so proud of her. Good job, baby girl!!!
