Happy 4 Year Anniversary, Sweet Girl!!

Cannot believe it's been 4 years since Abigail had her open heart surgery. It feels like a life time ago yet we can still remember it like it was yesterday. She has come so far and grown up so quickly! Abigail went from measuring below the bottom end of the growth charts to consistently falling around the 50th percentile.  Looking back at her surgery pictures makes us realize even more how incredibly blessed we truly are. You've been through a lot, sweet girl, and yet you came out on the other side stronger than ever. Happy 4 Year Anniversary, Aba💕

Dying Easter Eggs

Forgot to post these earlier🙀

We had so much fun! Thankfully this year was a lot less messy than previous years!

Abigail asked why it's called dying Easter Eggs. I said while the words dye and die sound the same, they have different meanings and are spelled differently. Food coloring dye is d-y-e and the word die is....and Abigail said "that die is d-I-e." Ummm...nice work little love but how do you know that??? We've been working on our reading, but.....😲

Easter Day

We had a wonderful Easter! Both kids were up early anxious waiting for us to let them come down stairs and start the fun! Abigail wrote the Easter Bunny a nice note and he was so kind to write Abigail and Colby back!! We did Easter baskets first and then it was time for the hunt!

 After the Easter Egg hunt we fixed a delicious breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage and blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes! Yum!!

Later in the afternoon, Nan and Geed came over! So fun!! The kids opened their Easter baskets and then we spent the rest of the evening playing, eating, eating again followed by more playing😊 Such a fun Easter!!

Easter Egg Hunt Part 1

Our neighborhood puts on a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt every year! The kids look forward to it for months. This year it, didn't start until 3:00 so we basically counted down the minutes until we left for the Easter festivities. Literally...minute by minute. Thankfully it lived up to the hype!!

But he did want to participate in the donut portion of the neighborhood Easter celebration😉
