How does this happen?? How do you blink and your baby turns 5?? We can still remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. It all happened so fast. The day before Abigail was born, we went to our OB for a normal checkup and Abigail's heartrate dropped so we had to go to the hospital for monitoring. We had to stay overnight. I did not sleep the entire night. I couldn't take my eyes off of the heartrate monitor making sure it didn't drop. The next morning, they said that her heartrate was stable so we could go home. One minute we were watching Live With Kelly and Michael while we waited for our discharge papers, the next minute Abigail's heartrate dropped again and we were rushed in for an emergency C-section. She was born in less than 30 minutes! I remember right before anesthesia they asked me if I had had anything to eat (because you're not supposed to eat before surgery) and of course I had eaten the biggest breakfast haha!

Fast forward 5 years later and we have the sweetest, most adorable, kindest, most loving little girl ever. She truly is such a blessing to us.
At 5, Abigail is very into arts and crafts. It's one of her most favorite things to do right now. She loves any kind of art: painting, drawing, glitter (oh the glitter!!), holiday themed art (my personal fav)...you name it...she loves it.
Abigail is still a wild child. She loves jumping, flipping, swinging around and upside-down...anything that will make you dizzy, she loves it! We recently took Abigail back to the bounce house that Meme, Auntie Anna and Uncle Kyle went to...she had the BEST time!! Such a fun place! Colby loved it too. They were both tuckered out when we left!
The biggest change this year is that Abigail started preschool. She was soooo excited at first, but it quickly turned rocky. Very rocky. But she's starting to like it thanks to a little guy named Logan. He has been so sweet to her and such a breath of fresh air. Most days Abigail looks forward to going to school. Thank goodness because she only has another 17 plus years of it!
Abigail is such an incredible sister. Colby and Abigail love each other to pieces. Most times....They love to play together and they just laugh and laugh. It is so cute to watch. We hope they will always be the best of friends.
Abigail still loves to read A LOT!! She loves all kinds of books now. We remember when Abigail would only let us read a very selective few over and over and over again to the point where she knew long story books by heart! When she wakes up early, she'll pull out a book or two to read/look at until the rest of us get up. Such a sweet pea💜
Abigail is very into fashion and she ALWAYS wants to be fancy. Most days she still picks out her Dad's shirt. She would wear a dress to play in a mud puddle, if we would let her. She is very into her shoes and wasn't thrilled when preschool asked her to wear something a little more comfortable for creative movement days. Already getting in trouble for her fashion...Dad hopes this isn't a trend.
Abigail, we are so proud to be your mommy and daddy. You bring such joy and laughter into our lives. We love you more than words can describe. Happy 5th Birthday, sweet baby girl!!!💕
