Sweet Girl

Abigail is getting very anxious about us being in the hospital. It's so sad:-(A few weeks ago she started to getting super upset if I was going to go anywhere without her. I typically don't go many places without her, but it's not abnormal for me to run out for a second if Colin or Nan or Geed is there. But right now she does not want to be apart AT All. Colin and I figured it had to do with us leaving her soon and she confirmed it the other day when she just started crying asking if she could stay with us the whole time in the hospital. Abigail is very excited to spend lots of time with her Nan and Geed. She will be in excellent hands! Abigail has been talking nonstop about everything they are going to do when they stay here, but this little girl is not one for change. We are all looking forward to being home together as a family💕

Future Hairstylist??

I tried to teach Daddy how to do Abigail's hair. So so funny!! Colin is a man of many talents, but a hairstylist.....hmmmm....not so sure about that! OHHH and we finally cut Abigail's hair!! I cut off 2 inches this past weekend! It looks good, if I do say so myself;-)

Porch Rocking

Colby loves to sit out on our front porch and rock. One of our favorites too!

Happy Meal

Abigail asked us "If a meal doesn't have a toy, is it called a sad meal?!?" love it!! No baby girl. If a meal doesn't have a dessert, THEN it's called a sad meal;-)

Big Thank You

About a month and a half ago I hurt my ankle. I was in a boot for over a month but it wasn't heeling so the doctor said I am non-weight bearing for at least 3 weeks. Not so easy with a busy 4 year old and 1 year old! Nan and Geed have been so wonderful in helping us out. Grocery shopping, fixing meals, chopping down a tree (seriously!!)...you name it!! They are amazing parents and incredible grandparents. We do not know what we would do without them!! Thank you so so much for all of your help, Nan and Geed!! We love you both so so much!!

Love these picture so much. You can truly see the joy they bring to our lives.💜

3 Year Anniversary

Today we are celebrating 3 years since Abigail had open heart surgery! Yay! Abigail is doing awesome! She has really flourished since the surgery. Abigail is such an incredible little girl. Beautiful inside and out. In our unbiased opinion😉 We feel so very blessed and thank God every day for our sweet little girl!! 💕
In 18 days, our precious Colby will undergo the same open heart surgery as his sister. None of us are prepared to go through it again nor will we ever be. We are all just ready to have our sweet little boy healthy and home with us💙

So Grown Up!

When did our little guy become such a big boy?!? The other night, as I was putting Colby down for bed I sang to him, gave him kisses...he rolled over and sat up and said "night night" in his cute little voice as he waved goodbye to me and laid back down to go to sleep. It's one of those moments that made me stop and think how incredibly blessed I am. And how did time go by so fast? Wasn't Colby just an infant a few days ago and now he's waving goodbye to me and putting himself to sleep?!? Trying to soak up every minute with our little (starting to be big!) boy💙

Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter! Abigail was super excited so that was super fun! Kids always make holidays so joyous!
As soon as Abigail's green wake up light came on, she immediately wanted to go see if the Easter Bunny came. Colby loved taking everything out of his basket! The Easter Bunny was very kind this year;-)

After checking out their baskets, we headed to the playroom for an Easter egg hunt, one of Abigail's favorites, Easter or not! The Easter Bunny left Colby all yellow eggs so that we would know which ones were his and Abigail had the rest. Very clever of that bunny;-)

Abigail found all of hers in a flash! Colby was content to have his people bring him his eggs haha! He did enjoy eating all of the yummy treats in there! Goldfish for breakfast...delicious! Abigail is like her mama and prefers chocolate in her eggs!

After lunch, Nan and Geed came over to join us! Yay!! They kindly brought us adorable (and yummy!!) Easter baskets! It's always fun no matter how old you get!! They even brought over some more eggs so we had another Easter egg hunt outside!! How fun!! You know Abigail was excited!! They were filled with Lindt chocolates. Now that's my kinda Easter egg hunt!!

It was a beautiful day out so we spent a lot of time outside. Walks, rocking on the porch, swinging, a yummy dinner....It was such a perfect day! We had so much fun! We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!!
