Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter! One of Abigail's favorite things to do is play with eggs, so Easter is just perfect for her! We wish you could have seen her face when she walked into the kitchen/family room and saw her Easter basket. She was SO excited! It was the cutest thing:-)

We hid 30 eggs. Yes...it was a ton! But...Abigail loved every second so it was worth it! Colby was taking a nap during the Easter egg hunt portion of the morning.:-)

Auntie Anna and Uncle Kyle Came To Visit!

Auntie Anna and Uncle Kyle were up in New Jersey for the weekend so they stopped by to see us on the way home. Yay!! We love it when they come to visit!! I'm not sure any of us could top Abigail's excitement! She was waiting at the front door for them and then would not let them out of her sight the whole time they were here! Abigail had them dressed up playing castle in no time:-) We love any day we get to spend with Auntie Anna and Uncle Kyle!

Stats Update!

We took Colby to the doctor today for his one month wellness check. Colby did great! He has grown a ton!! Today Colby weighed 9lbs 4.6oz (25th percentile)!! Colby gained almost 2 pounds in 12 days!! Apparently milk does a body good!! Yowzers!! Colby also measured at 21.25" (35th percentile) and, of course, his noggin was the largest, coming in at 15" (79th percentile)!! Love our big brained babies:-)

Loving My New Jammies!!

Abigail's favorite "Mommy/Daddy Jammies" were so well loved that they had a softball sized hole in the knee! Meme and Grandad so kindly got Abigail very similar jammies! Abigail loves them!! They are adorable!! Thank you so much, Meme and Grandad!!

Happy 1 Month, Colby!!

Our baby boy is one month!! Ahhh!!! Time flew by with Abigail, but now with Colby....we blinked and it's a month later. So crazy!

We are LOVING being a family of 4!! Every day is a fun adventure. Of course with two, we face challenges, but we are trying to soak in every second.

At one month, Colby weighs 9lbs 4.6oz (25th percentile...Colby gained almost 2 lbs in 12 days!!! Wow!!) and is 21.25 inches tall (35th percentile). Like Abigail, Colby's noggin is still going strong at 15 inches, putting him in the 79th percentile:-) Colby has a very sweet disposition. Typically he is a very happy baby. Every now and then he'll have a rough day, but overall he is so much fun to be around.

Colby is a hit or miss sleeper. Some days he does great and we feel like we've found the magic formula and others.....not so much. Like his sister, Colby much prefers to be held to sleep, but I think we both learned our lesson with Abigail and will not fall into that trap. Well...hopefully....:) Colby gets up between 2-4 times a night to feed, typically 3 times. While I do miss my sleep a little (ok...a lot!), I know this phase won't last forever and I am trying my best to cherish our sacred time together.

This little boy has brought us so much joy and happiness. We cannot even look at him without smiling and melting. Colby is such a sweetheart. He is so precious to us. We love you so so much, sweet baby boy!!! We can't wait to see all of the fun next month brings:-)

We recently received a card that said "So sweet. So tiny. So perfect. So ours." That about sums up how we feel about our two kiddos. We love you, Abigail and Colby!!

Abigail asked us if she could have another baby brother or sister because she wants us to go to the hospital again so she can drink some more orange juice. Sounds like a perfectly good reason to me to have another baby, right?!?

I can see why Abigail would want another one:-)

Little Loves

Our precious Colby turned 3 weeks today!! He weighed 7lbs 8oz at the doctor today! Colby gained another 11 ounces in 7 days!! Yowzers! Our little guy is growing up so fast!!

This little girl has been the BEST big sister ever! Abigail loves her "Colbster" (that's what she calls him!!) so so so much! She is so incredibly loving towards him. It is just the sweetest to watch the two of them together. Oh how we love our little loves<3
