Merry Christmas!!
I don't even know where to start with our Christmas. It was sooo wonderful!! One of my favorite days of the year. Any time we get to be with each other as a family, we love. But on Christmas....it just seems even more special. Abigail is at such an exciting age where she really gets into the spirit of Christmas and all of the fun traditions. This year she was really into Santa, which we just loved.
We thought for sure that Abigail was going to wake up super early with all of the excitement of Christmas, but she surprisingly slept in. We actually had to wake her up! Apparently she was worn out from the night before! It didn't take long to get her going though. We told her we needed to go check and see if Santa came and she was up and out of her bed with a quickness!!
So then Colin comes in with a card for me. Rewind just a second...Colin asked Abigail to help decorate a card for me but to keep it a secret. We all know how good toddlers are at secrets!! So of course the entire day Abigail would say things like "Why can't we tell Mommy we made a card for her?" or "I'm going to decorate a card for lamby just like we did for Mommy!" Haha! Love her!!
Back to the card. So I'm thinking it's just a card from Colin and Abigail that they decorated (which is super special on it's own...I have a box of every card/note from Colin...definitely not a huge saver, but I cherish his letters!!), but then I opened it up. Colin had made a scavenger hunt for me as well!! He said that I would need Abigail's help with the rhymes and it would also teach Abigail about our love and how we met<3 I, of course, was an emotional mess!! My husband is the most loving, thoughtful, kind, romantic....(I could go on and on) person ever. There were four separate presents, each so incredibly sweet and thoughtful. It was such a surprise and one of the nicest things I think he has ever done (which says a lot because he does the sweetest things for me all the time!!) Ok...this pregnant lady is becoming all emotional again. I should probably stop.....but before I go...did I mention how much I love my husband and how incredibly wonderful he is?!? Just in case...I love you so so so much, my love!! Thank you so much for making Christmas so special!! Big hugs and kisses!!
Then it was time for breakfast!! Nana and G-dad came over to join us! Yay! We had homemade cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip pancakes, biscuits and gravy and a sausage, egg and cheese casserole. Yum!! After our delicious feast, it was time for more presents.
Then Auntie Anna, Uncle Kyle and Anna's brother, Justin, stopped by to see us on their way to New Jersey. Yay!! We loved seeing them!!
What a great day and such a special Christmas!! We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!

Can't contain her excitement!!!
Santa left Abigail a green ducky!! She was sooo excited!! Abigail kept saying "This is what I asked Santa for!!"
Helping Daddy:-)
Gardening tools (she loves to help us in the garden!) and Elmo diapers for night time!! Wahoo!
Go Hoos!!
My loveys:-)
Colin created this really fun game with Abigail where he hides her lamby and then gives her clues to find lamby in the form of a rhyme that she has to complete. She is obsessed!! So we thought it would be fun to do a scavenger hunt for her remaining 3 Christmas presents. Each clue had a rhyme that she had to complete in order to find her next present. We think this was her favorite part:-)
First clue:-) "Your first present is no bigger than a mouse, we think we saw it hiding by the gingerbread _____ (house)!"
What could it be?!? A ducky!! She had been wanting this ducky forever!!
Second clue: "If you want your second present, you don't have to go very far. It's hiding in the basement in your cool _____ (car)."
And she's off!!
Matchbox cars!! She always asks for some at the store! Last clue: "Find your last present if you are able, hope it's not getting wet under your water _____(table)."
A big girl swing for our backyard!!

Christmas Eve
Every year on Christmas Eve, my dad's entire family gets together to spend time together and celebrate Christmas. We look forward to it every year!! We always have such a nice time. Even though we see them throughout the year, it is never enough!
This year, Aunt Ellen hosted. We had a blast! Delicious food, wonderful company, great conversation...it was fabulous! It was so fun, apparently, that I forgot to take out our camera:( Thankfully Courtney sent me an adorable picture she took. Thank you so much for having us, Aunt Ellen!! We loved spending time with everyone!!
